I AM in full agreement with the letter in last week’s Guardian in reference to the ongoing roadworks in Great Sankey and Omega.

While we had been forewarned that this would be a lengthy process we weren’t made aware of just how disruptive it would be.

Not all of us are in a position to allow our children to walk or bike to school and do have to travel by car.

Circumstances are difficult enough currently and many parents remain anxious about their children being back in school.

Having to sit in lengthy traffic queues on the morning school run is a stress we can all do without.

Please could the council consider school run times when planning further work and if that’s not possible, can they at least improve communication channels so we know exactly when to avoid certain roads and at what times.
