IT was one of the August bank holidays I will remember.
Why? Well the weather wasn’t great.
Every restaurant was booked up, so we couldn’t eat out.
There was no Challenge Cup final to enjoy.
We couldn’t go on holiday without fear of being stuck in quarantine on our return.
So what was so good about it?
Well I went to bed at 11pm each night (even on the Thursday) and there was no noise.
No thumping sounds, no flashes in the sky.
And on Monday, there was no wave of zombie-like beings spilling out on the roads of south Warrington.
Of course, bank holiday 2021 doesn’t promise to be quite so peaceful.
Because Creamfields will be back on.
So I enjoyed it while I could do.
But I will expect more of what we are used to this time next year.
