MY mother recently passed away in our home after a short illness aged 96.
My mother was treated by wonderful professionals through the time she was poorly and her subsequent peaceful death.
I wanted to say thank you to the intermediate care team who attended to my mother after her discharge from hospital, all the team supported my mother with love and dignity.
For the last 12 days of her life, my family and I had the good fortune to have the support of paramedics, my mother’s GP, amazing carers and a team of district nurses who could only be described as angels.
Nothing was ever too much trouble to make my mother comfortable, enabling my family to spend precious hours with her at the conclusion of her life.
I shall never forget the love, dignity and care bestowed not only on my mother but on my family, creating an atmosphere of tranquillity in our home.
You will never be forgotten.
Thank you to the NHS during a very challenging time.
