DRIVING through Stockton Heath recently, someone walked into the road in front of me and I narrowly missed them.
Fortunately there was no-one driving towards me, so I was able to avoid them.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed several walkers and joggers suddenly dart into the road without looking when they realise that someone is approaching them.
I’ve had my heart in my mouth a few times.
Many of our pavements don’t allow for two-metre social distancing, so would it not be better just to move as far as is safely possible but stay on the pavement?
Surely this makes more sense than getting run over or causing a car accident.
