CLOSING the Unilever factory is bad news, but there could be a good side to this event (Warrington Guardian, March 12).

The current employees could become part of a company used to dismantle the factory, followed with the construction of a new hospital that Warrington badly needs.

The site is large enough and its location would be ideal, with very good access from all parts of Warrington, and with enough of a site to include a large enough car park.

This is a current major problem with the present hospital.

The current hospital can then be demolished and a large housing estate built there.

This will create at least 20 years of productive work which would be available for the current employees.
