IS all this panic buying really necessary?

I went to do my weekly shop this week and couldn’t buy not just paracetamol or toilet rolls, but a host of food items too.

What fuels all this?

There is normally enough loo rolls for everyone so why does everyone go into such a state of confusion over the threat of a virus which will just leave you at home for a week.

How many supplies do you need for a week?

And surely you could get someone to get you something if needs be.

Even with the breakout of coronavirus, only 400 or so people have got it. In a population of over 60 million.

Am I missing something?
