WHAT a mess the Warrington Hospital car park run by Parkview is.

I went there on January 6, there was complete gridlock due to there being no vacant spaces, no barrier and no member of staff.

With a score of others I was trapped. Seven weeks later I was fined £25. Is it not fraud to extort a charge for a service when it does not exist? Apparently not.

Despite the facts my appeal was refused.

It is a clever scam that fleeces the public for an unearned bonus whenever the car park hits maximum revenue. The hospital medical, ancillary staff and the volunteers are caring and helpful.

Why should the reputation of their workplace be tainted by this dubious business?

The car parks at hospitals elsewhere in the region ie Whiston, Broadgreen and Liverpool Royal are properly managed with adequate capacity, barriers and on-site staff.
