I HAVE been a resident of Birchwood for 36 years.

I have seen the increase in litter in hedgerows, pavements and backs of properties.

I drive through Orford each day and notice teams of street cleaners keeping the area as clean and tidy as possible.

I expect this is to maintain the best living standards for what is a poor area, so well done to those guys cleaning.

Why we can’t have the same input in the Birchwood area, possibly putting people on community service to work on the clean up and for them to give back something to society.
