HAVING previously been highlighted as a traffic hot spot, the wonderful people at Warrington planning department have come up with a superb way to ease the traffic chaos at Brian Bevan Island.
Instead of having two very busy lanes running into town on Wilderspool Causeway at peak hours, they have introduced a bus lane, so that now all the traffic congests into just one lane instead.
Same amount of cars into half the space.
So instead of queueing from Morrisons into town at 5pm, the traffic queues back to the Red Lion in Stockton Heath, blocking all lanes in between, causing pandemonium in all directions.
Ironically also blocking the bus from actually using the bus lane.
We must take our hats off to these people, they never fail to surprise me in their incompetence.
