THE fire firework display at The Halliwell Jones Stadium was very much a let down for £10.
It said the venue opened at 5.30pm and there would be live music, DJ, fire eaters and lots of entertainment.
I arrived at 6.15pm, but once through the gate there were just people everywhere and nothing telling us where to go or what was happening.
When someone did come on the PA and acknowledge that we were there it was to tell us about new players.
We were there for fireworks and entertainment, not this.
The crazy thing was that they couldn’t even get this right – they interviewed the players on the pitch in total darkness.
The only saving grace was the display.
It was very good.
On leaving, I could hear other people saying the same thing.
I could have organised it better myself.
