I AM more than a bit disappointed that Warrington Hospital did not receive a penny of the £1.8billion Boris money handed out to hospitals across the country this week.

As we all know, Warrington Hospital has a building dating back to the 1880s in the Kendrick wing.

This building is still providing patient care in 2019.

The money the Government handed out went to a small select group of hospitals and this £1.8billion is spread over the next five years.

So it looks as if Warrington Hospital has missed out of this NHS postcode lottery once again.

It would have made a nice and appropriate leaving present for the chief executive Mel Pickup before she takes up her new chief executive post in Bradford.
