REGARDING the article on giant hogweed in Woolston (Warrington Guardian, August 1).
There is a giant hogweed plantation on abandoned land next to our property in Woolston.
Because of this, the seeds are now spreading rapidly causing this dangerous weed to take root around the Woolston area.
We made the council aware of this more than two years ago, as they have a duty of care and the authority to enforce land owners to remove and treat infected land.
To date the council has not taken this matter seriously enough and Woolston is now suffering the consequences.
