ANOTHER week and another story about the Mersey Gateway bridge.
I was horrified to read that Merseyflow had again called in the bailiffs for someone who had not paid to cross (Warrington Guardian, June 6).
Whatever the right and wrongs about the charges, can it really be right that bailiffs are called in?
Surely the cost of hiring a bailiff firm is higher than the cost of recovering the fine.
I understand that people have to pay their fines, but I cannot believe that threatening to seize their goods and even calling the police are appropriate.

Mersey Gateway is making a fortune out of drivers at the moment.
This sort of action with bailiffs simply cannot be excused.
The promise is the charges will stop when the work has been paid for.
I for one won’t be holding my breath.
