ALTHOUGH I appreciate the Neighbourhood Weekender is run by an external company and brings financial reward to the town and good spirit, I would like to ask that residents are given significantly more consideration in future.
The short one-way road where I live was designated as the access point for parking and taxi drop-off with its postcode being listed on the Neighbourhood Weekender website.
Residents only discovered this last Thursday evening.
The website encouraged ticket holders to travel to the event using transport links from the ‘city centre’ (Warrington is a town), though the visible car volume was high.
I strongly object to our postcode being listed and residents living on the road not being informed as a matter of courtesy.
Traffic flow and parking are already difficult for residents at normal times.
The surrounding residential roads were designated residents only, and had security stationed on them.
