ON today’s news bulletin it was announced that the House of Lords wants to scrap all pensioners’ perks.
This includes winter fuel payments and free TV licences for the over 75s.
I think that we as a country should stop the House of Lords perks and scrap the House of Lords for good.
This establishment is claiming enough attendance fees per day to pay for all pensioners to have a free TV licence never mind the over 75s.
Quite a number of the peers in this country should never have had their peerage given to them as it is one rule for them and one rule for the rank and file.
Also the House of Lords members were never elected and therefore should not have any say in this country’s affairs.
I am a very disgruntled under 75-year-old pensioner.
