HOT-DESKING? 1,200 borough council employees sharing just 800 work stations, with latecomers having nowhere to sit (Warrington Guardian, April 18)?
Has Gareth Hopkins, their assistant director, not seen the research by the University of Wolverhampton published on the internet?
Hot-desking certainly saves the employer money.
But for employees it can be a source of anxiety, stressful, de-motivating, and de-personalising.
According to the research, cost savings have to be counter-balanced by the resultant additional sick pay.
Think again, WBC.
