IT is unusual for me to agree with Helen Jones, Warrington North MP, but several of the items she mentioned in her list of what should be abolished or outlawed fitted my thinking (Warrington Guardian, January 3).
For example number 11 – I, too, from years of leafleting feel that the postie’s union should ban deliveries through low letter boxes.
I also agree with her number three about the shop staff ’s ‘See you later’ comments.
Even more irritating is the comment (with raised eyebrows) ‘You all right there?’.
My reply “No I am not alright. I am standing here waiting to be served”.
Whatever happened to “May I help you?”.
