I HAVE just read on the Warrington Guardian website about the improved service for the 17 bus to Gemini (Warrington Guardian online, November 26).
In the summer a meeting was held in Penketh asking residents what they wanted to change about their bus service.
A lot of people wanted the 29 back which ran down the Old Liverpool Road, Chapelford, Asda and finally Gemini.
The improved service only increases them to four an hour instead of two.
Were they not listening?
Why can this bus not come down Old Liverpool Road and then go back on the dual carriageway to St Gregory’s High School?
It seems pointless to me. It is not meeting the needs of people living in Great Sankey and Penketh.
It seems silly having to get a bus into town and then double back and it is expensive.
