GOOD to see Geoff Bibby in last week’s Guardian gaining some welldeserved recognition for his dedication to folk music (Warrington Guardian, October 18).
He keeps up the tradition of this most important part of our musical heritage, not only running a weekly folk song club but also with his long standing activities with Thelwall Morris Men.
Folk music has been around for a very long time and it is thanks to the likes of Geoff that, in its purist form, it lives on.
