IT has been announced that Warrington Borough Council has borrowed £59 million to invest the money on two solar farms in Hull and York in a bid to save £1 million off its annual electricity bill (Warrington Guardian, October 11).
This beggars belief when the people of Warrington are suffering cuts in their services such as road repairs and grass cutting.
How in earth can it be acceptable?
Yet another phase of borrowing money from the council. But what do you expect from a labour controlled council?
Drag us into the depths of debt.
This is a stark warning of what a Labour government would do if they ever regained power of the country.
They would plunge us back into the darkness.
