I WAS reading in last week’s Warrington Guardian (September 13) that planning has been submitted for a new takeaway on the car park by Lawnworld on Winwick Road.
Do we not already have enough takeaways and fast food restaurants within a one-mile radius of our children’s schools and colleges?
Along Winwick Road alone we already have McDonald’s, Toby Carvery, Tesco and Shell Petrol Stations, KFC, Subway, Starbucks, Nando’s, Domino’s, Pizza Hut not to mention the numerous chip shops and sandwich shops in the area.
I don’t see how adding yet another takeaway will help our community.
If anything it will continue to add to the obesity crisis we are all facing.
Furthermore, is Winwick Road not already bad enough with traffic, it takes long enough to get up and down the road as it is.
Adding another takeaway will only add to the congestion.
