IN last week’s Guardian it was reported that the council is to erect 40 traffic cameras to assess the pollution effects of traffic in Warrington.
The roads in Warrington are congested by poor traffic management by the council. Is this another ploy to persecute the motorist and force them on to the council owned buses?
I will take my business out of Warrington if this survey makes the motorist pay further for a poor traffic system in such a large town.
The roads are overcrowded because the council shut off roads to traffic and caused further congestion and pollution. Cars struggle to get around because of bad road planning. How much are these cameras going to cost and monitor? Would the money not be better spent on repairing potholes in the town? Yet more taxpayers’ money down the drain.
