SHANNON Stephens will certainly remember her try for Warrington Wolves in the Women’s Nines finals forever.
A youthful Wire side may have ultimately found the step-up in class too much against some of the best women’s sides in the country in Salford yesterday, but Stephens could take a magic moment home.
In their group stage clash with Desses Catalans, she picked up the ball inside her own half and weaved her way through the defence to score an incredible individual try.

Unfortunately, The Wire lost the game 22-7 before losing their second Group B clash 37-0 against York City Knights, who eventually went on to win the tournament.
