HULL FC’S Miteli Vulikijipani has been handed a ban following a tackle during Friday’s defeat to Warrington Wolves.
The outside back looks set to miss his side’s next two matches after being charged with Grade C dangerous contact by the Match Review Panel.
The panel minutes state that the Fijian used his body to “forcefully to twist, bend or otherwise apply pressure to the limb or limbs of an opposing player in a way that involves an unacceptable risk of injury to that player” during the second half of The Wire’s 4-0 win.
Meanwhile, Salford Red Devils are set to be without their captain Elijah Taylor for their trip to The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Sunday.
The New Zealand international forward has been hit with a Grade B charge of striking with the knee for an incident during his side’s 74-10 win over Wakefield Trinity in Round 16.
The charge carries a one-match ban which, if upheld, will rule him out of facing The Wire.
No Warrington players have been charged by the panel this week.
