ON the whole, news of Paul Vaughan's impending arrival has gone down well among Warrington Wolves supporters.
The front-rower was today confirmed as The Wire's third new signing for 2023, joining from Canterbury Bulldogs on a two-year deal.

Given the 31-year-old's impressive form in the NRL this year, the majority of fans have hailed the signing as a positive one.
However, there a few who were more guarded about the prospect of signing an Australian player heading towards the end of his career.
Here is some of the social media reaction to the news...
Done very well to get him signed up with how he’s playing in the NRL, one of these Aussie signings have got to pay off right?😂 https://t.co/pYwqPi6Z5u

He is 31 every one kicks off but then moan when a 33 year old Mike Cooper who’s careers no where near this guys moves on. Upgrade on Cooper massively on and off the field.

This will turn out to be an excellent signing as long as he stays well clear of Orford Lane! https://t.co/Qy5hy1Oso2

Fair play, an excellent signing of a top level prop. Dudson and Vaughan starting with Kasiano and Mikaele off the bench. Looks a lot stronger

Oh here we go . . . . . . I'm thinking Australian, over 30, best days behind him, will get injured early into next season, then leave citing "family issues" as a reason to go back to Oz . . . . .

Praying I'm wrong though . . . .
