THREE Huddersfield Giants players have been hit with suspensions following their defeat to Warrington Wolves on Saturday.

Tui Lolohea, Jack Cogger and former Wire skipper Chris Hill have all been served penalty notices by the Match Review Panel following The Wire’s 32-10 victory at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Cogger will serve a two-match ban – thus ruling him out of their Challenge Cup semi-final against Hull KR on May 7 – as a result in a charge stemming from his second sin binning of the match.

Shortly after returning from his first spell in the sin bin for a professional foul – an incident for which he will face no further action – the Australian slid in with his knees on Josh Thewlis as he touched down for the second of his hat-trick of tries.

Referee Robert Hicks awarded an eight-point try and sent Cogger for 10 more minutes, and he has now been charged with Grade C Other Contrary Behaviour.

Lolohea has been charged with Grade B Tripping after using his leg to bring down Matty Ashton in the build-up to Thewlis’ opening try and will sit out one match.

Hill will also miss one game after being charged with Grade B dangerous contact for an incident in the second half.

No Wire players have been charged or cautioned for incidents arising from Saturday’s game.
