JOE Bullock has been named in Warrington Wolves’ 21-man squad to face Hull Kingston Rovers on Friday.

The prop had been expected to miss several more weeks with an elbow injury but is in the frame to return after missing both home defeats against Wakefield Trinity.

Matty Ashton is included despite missing Sunday’s Challenge Cup loss to Trinity with a calf injury.

Daryl Powell can also call upon skipper Jack Hughes once again – he is available to return having served a one-match suspension at the weekend.

Ellis Robson, who started Sunday’s game in the second row, drops out of the 21 along with half-back Riley Dean.

Wire squad: Matty Ashton, Joe Bullock, Josh Charnley, Daryl Clark, Jason Clark, Mike Cooper, Ben Currie, Matt Davis, Oliver Holmes, Jack Hughes, Toby King, Ellis Longstaff, Billy Magoulias, Peter Mata'utia, Robbie Mulhern, Joe Philbin, Josh Thewlis, Danny Walker, Gareth Widdop, George Williams, Connor Wrench

Rovers’ former Wire head coach Tony Smith may well be able to call upon star close-season signing Lachlan Coote, with the ex-Saints full-back included in their 21-man squad following a hamstring issue.

However, Will Dagger – himself a former Wolves player – drops out of the squad through injury.
