ROUND dates for the 2022 Challenge Cup have been confirmed.

Warrington Wolves will enter the competition in Round Six alongside 10 other Super League clubs – newcomers Toulouse Olympique are not participating.

Their first cup tie will take place over the weekend of March 26-27 after six rounds of Super League fixtures.

The quarter-finals will then be held on April 9-10 with the semi finals on May 7-8 before an earlier-than-usual Challenge Cup Final on Saturday, May 28, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Having been truncated in the past two seasons due to Covid, the competition reverts back to its fullest form for 2022 with 28 amateur clubs invited to take part in the first round on the weekend of January 15-16.

None of Warrington's seven amateur sides are among those invited to participate.

Clubs from League One and the Championship will enter at the second and fourth round stages respectively.

The draw for the first and second rounds will take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday, December 14, at 5.30pm and will be shown live on the BBC Red Button and the OurLeague app.
