MATT Davis' season is over as a result of the injury he suffered against Salford Red Devils on Saturday.

The versatile Warrington Wolves forward came off just after half time and scans have revealed he has suffered a torn bicep.

Davis is set to undergo surgery next week, with his recovery expected to take between 10 and 14 weeks.

In better news, Wire head coach Steve Price confirmed Daryl Clark, Danny Walker and Toby King will all return to contention for next week's play-off eliminator.

"Daryl Clark, Danny Walker and Toby King are unavailable this week but will be back for next week," he said.

"We haven’t got much good news for Matty Davis and it’s a bit of a shame.

"He tore his bicep on the weekend. He’ll be seeing the surgeon next week and it’s shattering for him. I really feel for him.

"It was just after half-time – he went to make a tackle and he’s felt a pop in his bicep. It turns out he’s torn the bicep right off the tendon."

"He worked really hard to get back and I feel devastated for him as he’s put a lot of work in since November.

"We’ll know more once he’s seen the doc, but torn biceps are normally 10-14 week injuries so it’s not great news."

Hookers Clark and Walker have stomach and ankle injuries respectively while centre King has a shoulder problem, with all three ruled out of Thursday's trip to Castleford Tigers.

Price also confirmed that props Chris Hill, Mike Cooper and Joe Philbin would all return to the side at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Thursday.

"Hilly, Joe Philbin and Mike Cooper will all be back, which certainly strengthens our forward pack," he said.

"We’re looking forward to having those guys back."
