STEVE Price has updated on the health of his Warrington Wolves squad following the win at Huddersfield Giants, with the Bank Holiday Monday clash with St Helens around the corner.

Hooker Daryl Clark and Mike Cooper both picked up knocks during the 26-6 win at the John Smith’s Stadium and were forced off late in the game.

With the turnaround a short one, time is tight for bruises to heal but Price is confident both will be fit to face Saints.

The Wire boss is also expecting forward Jason Clark to return after he missed out on the matchday 17 at Huddersfield.

“Daz just copped a bit of a bang in the second half,” he said.

“We haven’t had a good look at him yet but knowing Daz and the way he is, I’m confident he’ll be okay.

“Mike Cooper just picked up something around his leg – we picked up a few bumps and bruises as expected.

“Jace Clark will be back on Monday. We’ve got a few fresh bodies to bring in and there will be a few lads putting their hands up.”

Price also said there is “concern” around stand-off Blake Austin and winger Josh Charnley due to an “in-house” issue.

Charnley was left out of the 21-man squad to face the Giants and while Austin was in contention to play, he did not appear in the matchday 17.

“There’s a bit of concern around Blake and Josh. We’ll know more over the next couple of days,” Price said.

“It’s more of an in-house thing.”
