WARRINGTON Wolves youngsters were to the fore as Lancashire secured an Academy Origin series victory on Sunday.
The Red Rose beat Yorkshire 38-20 at Salford’s AJ Bell Stadium to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, with 30 of Lancashire’s points coming courtesy of Wire players.
Jake Thewlis crossed twice for Lancashire, with club teammates Aiden Doolan, Jamie Reddecliff and Nolan Tupea also touching down while Leon Hayes kicked five goals.
Ben Hartill was also part of the Lancashire team while on the other side of the field, Adam Holroyd skippered a Yorkshire side that also featured Lucas Green.
The final game of the Academy Origin series takes place on Sunday, July 24.
