WARRINGTON Wolves' losing run is over.

It was far from pretty in a tryless encounter against Hull FC, but Daryl Powell's side edged to their first win in two months.

A brace of Stefan Ratchford penalties in the second half did the trick as The Wire picked up a crucial two points.

It is the first Super League game to not feature a single try since a 5-2 win for Salford over Harlequins in 2007 while Wire kept their opposition off the scoresheet for the first time since 'nilling' Wakefield in August 2020.

The win did come at a cost, however, with Joe Philbin limping off with a serious-looking injury in the first half.
