WARRINGTON Wolves were eventually ground down by Catalans Dragons in the sweltering Perpignan heat this afternoon.
Tries from Mitchell Pearce and Julian Bousquet midway through the second half broke Wire's resistance in the second half after an initially promising defensive showing.
After that, Daryl Powell's men folded as Gil Dudson, Fouad Yaha and Arthur Mourgue all crossed in the final 10 minutes to help Catalans cut loose and maintain their 100 per cent home Super League record this season.
In total, Warrington conceded 26 points in the final 15 minutes to make it back-to-back 40-point losses in Super League - the first time that has happened since 2009.
The sides were level at 8-8 into the second half after a try and two goals apiece.
Connor Wrench had got the game's first try - the only one Wire managed to score - with Tom Davies replying for the Dragons.
Wolves also lost full-back Josh Thewlis to injury in the second half, with Josh Charnley and Toby King left out of the side.
