SITALEKI Akauola, Dom Crosby and Toby King will definitely miss The Wire’s opening game of the 2018 Super League season.
Head coach Steve Price confirmed props Akauola and Crosby and centre King would be unavailable for selection for Thursday night’s game against Leeds Rhinos at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
“We’re starting to get a few numbers back, which is really handy, but there will be a couple missing,” he said.
“Sitaleki definitely won’t be playing. Dom Crosby and Toby King won’t be playing either.
“All of them are getting really close. It’s a week-to-week thing will all three of them.”
Price also confirmed that half-backs Tyrone Roberts and Dec Patton would be given every chance to prove their fitness ahead of Thursday night’s game.
The Wire will announce their squad for Leeds’ visit tomorrow afternoon.
