Eagle 32 Mossley Hill 19
EAGLE secured a bonus-point victory against Mossley Hill.
Four of their five tries, three of which were converted by Kieran Thomas, were scored by Eagle’s backs in flowing open play.
They came from Eves, Neil Smith, Jackson and Martin Young.
But it was the forward strength and discipline at the set-piece that paved the way for the victory.
Eagle’s lineout performance was the best of the season.
Masterman was rewarded as he crossed for the final try.
From that platform the pack drove well, and put up a great defence for much of the game with Losh, Counsel and Leach prominent.
But it was not all one way.
Mossley Hill showed some good backs skill of their own and moved the ball wide to open up Eagle’s defence and cross the line three times.
