Knutsford 65 Moore 22
A HEAVY defeat to rivals Knutsford meant Moore dropped out of the promotion places in Division Four South of the North West Intermediate League.
The men from Moss Lane were only nine points in arrears as the sides turned around at half-time, but the hosts ran away with the game after the break.
Jack Harvey, Joe Pidgeon and Mike Barr crossed the whitewash for Moore, with Sam Craven adding two conversions and a penalty.
Moore now slip to third in the table, with Knutsford leapfrogging them into second as a result of Saturday’s victory and leading them by one point.
Perhaps crucially, however, Moore have played a game less than Knutsford and have six games remaining, starting with a trip to Northwich’s thirds on Saturday.
