WARRINGTON Rylands have boosted their squad by signing the leading goalscorer of the division they have just been promoted from.

Blues have confirmed the addition of frontman Ryan Brooke, who netted 25 goals for Runcorn Linnets in the Northern Premier League West Division last season.

Brooke is the fourth new addition to Dave McNabb’s squad ahead of their first season in the NPL Premier Division, after defenders Aaron Morris and Josh Langley and versatile wideman James Barrigan.

“Ryan is a top quality centre forward who really does have everything,” McNabb said.

“He has experience playing at this level and higher and has an excellent goal return across his career to date, including 25 last season in 33 games.”

Earlier this month, Linnets said Brooke had agreed to remain at the club but in a statement confirming his departure, they said Rylands returned with an “improved financial package” after the forward rejected their initial offer.
