WHETHER they win promotion or not, Warrington Rylands know they will retain the services of their leading goalscorer for next season.
Forward Kane Drummond, whose 18 goals in all competitions have helped Blues to the top of the table, has penned a new deal to keep him at Gorsey Lane until the end of the 2022-23 season.
Given they lead the NPL West Division table with two games to go and are assured of a play-off place at worst, they will hope that season is spent in a higher league.
"I’m really pleased Kane has committed his future to the club," manager Dave McNabb said.
"He’s been a huge part of our success and he’s still learning and getting better.’’
Drummond has been a key part of the Rylands side that has risen through the leagues and was also part of the FA Vase-winning squad of last season, scoring six times during Blues' run to Wembley.
Chairman Mark Pye said: "Kane has been such an integral player at the club for the past two seasons now and we are pleased that he has decided to continue his football adventure with the Blues."
