PAUL Carden will look to add to his Warrington Town squad to help ease their current injury struggles.

Midfielders Jay Harris and Luke Duffy are expected to return for Saturday's hosting of Hyde United, but doubts remain over several key players.

Both of Town's recognised strikers – Josh Amis and top scorer Jordan Buckley – are injury doubts, as are defenders Eddie Clarke and Matt Regan.

As such, Carden will look for reinforcements in order to lighten the load.

"We’ll have a few back for Hyde. We certainly won’t be as stretched as we were at the weekend," he said.

"We’ll possibly look to add a player or two before the game just because of the situation we’re in with injuries in certain positions.

"We’ll have more of the injured lads back, but we will look if there’s someone out there we think will improve us."

While Yellows are in and around the Northern Premier League Premier Division play-off places, Saturday's visitors to Cantilever Park are struggling at the other end of the table.

Hyde arrive sitting in 18th place and having lost all but one of their league away games this season.

However, Carden is wary of the impact vastly experienced manager Jim Gannon is starting to have on the Tigers' squad since his appointment at the end of August.

"We’ve got to be at it like we do every week," he said.

"We need to respect what they’re good at and work on areas they’re not so good at as well as working on our own strengths.

"They’ve got a very experienced manager and they’re turning more into his type of squad now. He’s let a few players go which raised some eyebrows but he’s getting his type of player in.

"With every week that goes by, they will look more like a Jim Gannon squad so that’s something we will have to be ready for."

Kick off on Saturday is at 3pm.
