WHITTLE Hall Athletic girls under 10s football team were delighted to reach a Warrington Junior Football Girls League cup final.
Although they were defeated on the day by a strong Earlestown Athletic side, the girls were not too despondent.
"It did not dampen the girls' high spirits on the day. A magnificent day was had by all the children and supporters involved," said Samantha Parker, a parent to one of the players.

She said coach Kevin Larkin has been a credit to the girls: "Dedicating so much of his own time, to ensure the girls reached their potential to succeed and experience a cup final."
Samantha added: "When I was younger there wasn't any opportunity to join a girls' football club to reach my football dreams, its great to see so many girls showcasing their potential to become fantastic sports women with the support of fantastic coaches!"
Kevin's supporting coaches are Philip Hamilton, Steve Strickland-Wright and Linda Strickland-Wright.
