HAVING scored a hat-trick at Wembley for Warrington Rylands, Elliott Nevitt now has a chance to shine in the Football League.

The 21-year-old striker has joined League Two side Tranmere Rovers on a one-year deal having shone at Gorsey Lane.

Having scored winning goals in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, Nevitt shot to wider prominence when Rylands took on Binfield in the FA Vase Final at Wembley.

He scored a memorable hat-trick to ensure the trophy returned to Gorsey Lane.

“Elliott is a signing that I want everybody to understand – since I was a player at Tranmere, we have always been very good at finding local talent that we were able to polish up, add fitness and present them with the opportunity to be a professional footballer," Tranmere boss Micky Mellon said of Nevitt.

“Elliott deserves his opportunity. We have seen his guts, determination and he has trained well since he came in.

"Tranmere has always been good at finding and nurturing local non-league talent from Merseyside in order to give them an opportunity, which is something I love to do.

"We are going to work very hard with Elliott."
