WARRINGTON drew at Middlewich in Cheshire County League Division Two on Saturday despite a ton of runs from Mal Agar.

His century helped to lay the foundations for Warrington's 242 for 2 and was backed up with 50 in only 31 balls from J Hughes, who was eventually run out on 62.

In reply, Middlewich were content to play out a tedious draw.

Warrington's seconds bowled well and knocked over Cheadle Hulme for 194 during Saturday's win.

Terence Balmer bowled superbly, taking 6 for 51 including two catches from his own bowling.

Warrington made hard work of the chase but Malcom Gwatkin saved the day, making an excellent 77 not out, during his team's innings of 195 for 7.

Warrington's third XI recorded an excellent win at the home of the league leaders after reducing Upton to 156 all out.

Veteran pace bowler Mans Naseem secured six wickets and Warrington knocked off the required runs with Tom Corroboy scoring 76 not out and Ross Duncan 47.

Warrington's fourths were crushed after Cheadle Hulme made 259 for 1.

Faced with the massive total, Warrington collapsed to just 31 all out.

Warrington's under 13s were defeated by four runs in a thrilling contest against Burnage in the Cheshire County Cricket League Championship.

James Waldron impressed in attack with 2 for 10 as Burnage notched 140 for 8.

He added 30 runs with the bat but the team finished a great season on 136 for 5.
