STUART Reardon reckons the outcome of tomorrow's match against his hometown club could have a large bearing on Wolves' bid for success in the play-offs.

Wolves travel to Odsal looking to complete a treble of wins against Bradford this year and register five victories in a row against the Super League champions.

That would be an achievement in itself but Reardon, who made 78 appearances for Bradford before joining Wolves this season, thinks a win tomorrow would also give Wolves the psychological edge if the two sides meet again in the first round of the play-offs.

"I think it would be great for the confidence of the players as we build up towards the play-offs if we could get a treble against them," he said.

"I think we need to win the majority of the games if we want to finish high and beating Bradford, who are one of the top sides, would be a huge confidence boost.

"Realistically we will probably finish fifth and Bradford will finish fourth, so we would play Bradford in the play-offs.

"If we have beaten them three times this year, it will be playing on their minds and we would be confident for that play-off game."

Reardon was in the Bradford side for Wolves' two wins last year and admits the results were 'gutting' at the time but he thinks his current club can take inspiration from the way Bulls came from nowhere to win Super League X. Like Wolves now, Bradford were fifth after 22 rounds in 2005 and Reardon believes his new club can achieve success from their current position.

He said: "It was down to confidence for Bradford last year. We started playing really well.

"What Bradford did last year does give us belief and I think anyone can win the play-offs from whatever spot.

"It's not as one-sided as what it was. If you're in the play-offs you've got a chance of winning it."
