DIGITAL subscriptions – it’s a bit of a touchy subject.
I know the frustration – you see us post an interview with your favourite Wire player, a bit of transfer news or some analysis and comment that peaks your intrigue.
You click on it and BOOM, here we are asking you to part with some of your hard-earned to read our content.
And so as we come to of our Black Friday digital subscriptions sale, I know what plenty of you will be thinking – why should I pay for this?
A totally understandable question, particularly in the hard financial times we find ourselves in, which is why there will be no “hard sell” from me.
Digital subscriptions are not for everyone and if you’re on of those people, feel free to read no further and carry on with your day. I’ll think no less of you, I promise!
If you’re still with me, however, let me explain a little more about our current offer, what it gets you and why digital subscriptions are becoming increasingly important to what we do here at the Warrington Guardian...
To celebrate Black Friday, we are offering a six-month subscription to our website for just £6 between now and midnight on Thursday, November 30. That’s a shade under 25p per week.
Of course, that includes everything our site has to offer but if you’re reading this article, I think it’s pretty safe to assume you’re a regular consumer of our unrivalled coverage of Warrington Wolves.
Calling it “unrivalled” may sound bumptious and trust me, I am not one for self-promotion at the best of times, but we do so because you will not find coverage of the team you love as in-depth and wide-ranging as ours anywhere else.
Every match, every press conference, we are there. Even beyond the first team – the reserves, the academy, the women’s team etc – we are there.
Add to that the exclusive content we provide – whether that’s interviews, analytical pieces, alternative looks at matches and podcasts just to name a few – and you get a sense of the work we do, and we have ideas for plenty more.
Put simply, if anything happens at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, we are there to bring it to you.

A lot of our coverage is free to everyone, but our very best stuff is reserved exclusively for our subscribers.
Not only do you get unhindered access to our full range of content, but you get it via an ad-light, faster-loading website.
And while The Wire are out of season at the moment, that does not mean we shut down – with pre-season now underway, things will soon start to heat up and you can follow it all with us.
Signing up for our £6 for 6 months offer not only takes you through the rest of the close-season, but you’ll also be covered for the first few months of the 2024 campaign as the Sam Burgess era gets underway.
In short, we are proud to cover Warrington Wolves the way we do but in order for that to continue, we need your support.
