WOOLSTON Rovers will be looking to back up the excellent win over Normanton Knights last Saturday when they make the long trip to East Yorkshire to face Beverley in the National Conference League Division Two.

The coach leaves Monk Sports Club at 10.30am for any supporters wishing to travel. Please contact Nikki Whalley on 07889 170895 to secure your place.

Rovers Head of Rugby Mal Holt said: “We produced an outstanding display last week to claim a vital win and we must now ensure that we don’t throw all that good work away at Beverley.

"It is always a tough place to visit put we go there full of confidence and know that it is vital that we come home with the win to keep our play off hopes in our own hands.

"The boys have been working really hard over the past few weeks to try and give ourselves a positive end to the season and hopefully we can show that good work out on the pitch this weekend.”

Rovers ‘A’ travel to Halton Simms Cross on Saturday afternoon in the NWML Division Three in buoyant mood after a great win at Leigh East ‘A’ last weekend, looking to make it three wins on the bounce.

Kick off is 2.30pm at the Frank Myler Pavilion, Liverpool Road, Widnes, WA8 7EZ.

Rovers ‘A’ coach Liam Lawton said: “We proved to ourselves last Saturday that when we play to the best of our ability then we are a tough team to face; we need to do that on a consistent basis to make sure we finish in the top four.

"We have already played Simmies twice this season, with both games resulting in away wins, so hopefully that is a good omen for us this weekend.

"We know how dangerous they can be if we allow them to dictate play so our aim will be to take the game to them from the off and keep them on the back foot.”
