DARYL Powell’s bid to revamp his Warrington Wolves squad – with particular focus on the middle unit – continues to gather pace.

Australian international Paul Vaughan has become the club’s third confirmed new signing for 2023, penning a two-year deal at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

All of those signings are front-rowers, with Catalans Dragons pair Sam Kasiano and Gil Dudson also confirmed to be joining next year while Thomas Mikaele has also been signed for the long-term having joined from Wests Tigers last month.

And it may not stop there, with The Wire continuing to be heavily linked with a move for St George Illawarra forward Josh McGuire.

Either way, the Wire pack will look very different in 2023 and looks set to go from one of the smallest in Super League to among the biggest.

While at least three new front-rowers will be in situ, plenty also look set to be leaving the club.

Mike Cooper is confirmed to be joining Wigan Warriors while uncertainty still reigns about the futures of skipper Jack Hughes, prop Robbie Mulhern and versatile forwards Jason Clark and Matt Davis – all of whom are out of contract in November.
