THE return of Super League means the return of our resident tipster.

Here’s what ‘Mr Predictor’ is saying ahead of Round 12…

HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS VS WIGAN WARRIORS

A Challenge Cup Final dress rehearsal with both sides having come through their semi-finals at the weekend.

Naturally, some players have been given a rest by both coaches but still an early chance to lay down a bit of a marker.

No Jai Field for Wigan but with Bevan French expected to slip seamlessly into his full-back role, I expect the Warriors to win here.

Prediction: Wigan by 12

ST HELENS VS HULL FC

This is a tougher one to predict than it perhaps would have been a few weeks ago.

With Jonny Lomax playing injured to alleviate the issues Saints currently have in the spine of their team, there is an air of vulnerability around the three-peat champions of late.

Hull are in good form and I expect them to push hard, but I think the hosts will JUST have enough.

Prediction: St Helens by 4

CATALANS DRAGONS VS WARRINGTON WOLVES

It doesn’t get any easier for poor old Wire.

Smashed by Wigan the other week and now with a fearsome trip to France to contend with – and the small prospect of St Helens lying in wait when they get back.

Catalans beat them pretty comfortably with half a team earlier this year so on home soil and with key men back in the fold, I’m going for Les Dracs.

Prediction: Catalans by 14

SALFORD RED DEVILS VS LEEDS RHINOS

Are the Rhinos starting to turn a corner after back-to-back wins?

With new head coach Rohan Smith having had a couple of weeks to get his message across, this is the perfect chance for them to show some continued improvement.

I think they’ll do just that against a beleaguered Red Devils side currently beset by injuries.

Prediction: Leeds by 8

CASTLEFORD TIGERS VS HULL KINGSTON ROVERS

The Robins failed to fire on their big day in the cup, losing pretty comfortably to Huddersfield Giants in the semis at Elland Road.

You have to wonder what kind of impact head coach Tony Smith’s decision to announce his impending departure while they were on a roll is starting to have.

With that in mind, I think improving Castleford will get the better of this clash.

Prediction: Castleford by 10

TOULOUSE OLYMPIQUE VS WAKEFIELD TRINITY

An absolutely huge clash at the bottom of the table and one you feel Toulouse need to win if they are to stand any chance of staying up.

These are the kind of games they have to target points from and with new signings Corey Norman and Danny Alvaro on deck, I think they will do it.

Wakefield are in shocking form and defeat here will really get fans worried about the dreaded drop.

Prediction: Toulouse by 6
