ONE of the marquee fixtures of the campaign is upon us as Wigan Warriors come to town.

Will Daryl Powell stick with a winning formula with his Warrington Wolves team selection? Or will the temptation to reinstate some international quality be too much to resist?

Sports reporter Matt Turner predicts how the Wire side will line up tomorrow…

NOT many would be too upset to see an unchanged Warrington Wolves side take the field against their nearest and dearest.

After all, this is a team that performed admirably and – against many people’s expectations – comfortably saw off the challenge of a Huddersfield Giants side tipped for big things last time out.

However, Wigan provide a different test entirely and the temptation of bringing George Williams back into the side may be too much to resist.

As we sit right now, he is available to play having completed two training sessions following an abdominal injury.

He will be desperate to take the field against his former club and I think Powell will give him that chance – but who will partner him?

You would like to think Riley Dean’s performance against Huddersfield is good enough to keep him in the side, with Peter Mata’utia moving back into the centres having covered well at stand-off.

That would likely mean Connor Wrench is the unfortunate man to drop out, with Mata’utia resuming his right centre role.

Those are the only changes I can foresee, with Powell no doubt keen to keep as much continuity as possible following their best display of the season to date.

With all of that in mind, my predicted Wire team to face Wigan is:

Thewlis; Charnley, Mata’utia, King, Ashton; Dean, Williams; Mulhern, D Clark, Cooper, Holmes, Currie, Davis. Subs: Philbin, Bullock, Walker, Magoulias
