BOTH of our semi-professional sides are at home again on Saturday as another weekend of football dawns.

Warrington Town are in FA Trophy action while Warrington Rylands have a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

Yellows will aim to further their run in the Trophy as they welcome Chasetown to Cantilever Park for what is the first ever meeting between the two sides.

On paper at least, a home tie against a team from a lower division should see Town as favourites but their visitors arrive confident of causing an upset.

Chasetown are flying high in the Northern Premier League’s Midlands Division – one tier below Town – with only goal difference keeping them off the top of the table.

They are unbeaten in eight games in all competitions and knocked out Alvechurch, who like Yellows are a Step Three side, to set this tie up.

With Town on a seven-game unbeaten run of their own, an intriguing encounter is in store.

Meanwhile, Rylands have rearranged a fixture that was due to be played over Easter for this weekend to prevent having another two-week break.

They welcome Prescot Cables to Gorsey Lane having been due to travel to Colne – a game that had to be postponed due to the Reds’ involvement in the FA Trophy.

None of the four sides above Blues in the table are in action, so they could finish the day as high as second in the table with a victory.

They are unbeaten in their past five league games – although the last two have been draws – and they face a Prescot side struggling and without a win in their past eight outings in all competitions.

The sides have met once already this season, playing out an entertaining 3-3 draw at Valerie Park.
