MERVYN Ward brought a British Masters medal back to Warrington after his latest half-marathon.
On Sunday, he was the only Warrington Athletics Club member to travel to Caterham for the Rotary Half Marathon, which also incorporated the British Masters Championships.
He completed the course in 1hour 35mins 35secs, which was good enough for 64th place overall.
However, his time was the third fastest by a runner aged over 65, earning him a bronze medal for that age group.
Closer to home, Louise Blizzard was the fastest over 45s woman on the course at Sunday’s Aldi Chester 10km road race.
She finished in 42mins 22secs, placing her 155th overall and 14th in the women’s rankings.
Chris Stanford represented Warrington AC in the Sale Sizzler 5km road race last Thursday, finishing 14th in 15mins 54secs.
